Technique: Buy your own media outlet. The republicans did it with Fox News, The Washington Times, UPI and other institutions, foundations and organizations funded by right wing billionaires such as Richard Mellon Scaife, Bill Walton (Walmart) and Adolf Coors (Coors Beer). Surely there are some left-wing billionaires that would feel obliged to pitch in and do the same (e.g. Soros, Speilberg). This media building can even start on a local level, buying various radio stations, newspapers and television stations.
