Technique: Maintain
a consistent message across all allies and issues. When communicating a
message to the masses, make sure that you have first communicated with
each other. Get the agreed upon message solidified and do not vary from
that model. Use the same keywords and analogies. Each person should push
forward with the message as though it were his or her own. Over time, this
bombardment begins to sink into the minds of those who have even a remotely
open mind.
One Liner:
"On this issue we are of similar ideology and therefore of the same voice."
Setup:
If you are a member of any shared ideology, whether it be a political party,
religious group, special interest, club or other organization, the last
thing that you want to project to others is confusion and indecision. When
multiple individuals communicate the same message with clarity and vigor,
the message itself builds credibility and favor. Therefore it is important
that any group of people who share a common ideology, put aside their less
important differences and promote the general, agreed upon theme without
distraction. The republicans do this well. The Democrats do not.
Example one liners
and tips:
-
Make a "keyword" list
for all members of the group to include in their discussions, interviews
and debates. These words should pack an emotional wallop and bring about
vivid images of what the message is attempting to convey.
-
Practice delivering
"the message" to each other. Work out the inconsistencies before presenting
to the general public.
-
Set aside one analogy
in particular to serve as the "mascot" of that message. This is the one
common analogy to be used across all messengers. It should be particularly
clever, vivid and emotionally stimulating. People will come to associate
the message with the analogy.
Summary:
Look past your minor differences with the group in favor of the greater
message and stick to it without exception.
