Technique: Control the agenda. Determine the issues that are important (and favorable) to you and take action to assure that these are the issues being discussed. Link every issue to the one that you want to focus on. (Ex p86 Age of Prop). You can't tell them (the audience) what to think but you can tell them what to think about and how to do it. (Ex. P.28 and 83-84). Define the issue in such a way that you can't help but win. Present issues that just about anyone could endorse (e.g. "War on Terror", "National Security", "Freedom" etc).(See also "Frame the Debate")
