Technique: Deny. Deny. Deny! But only if no smoking gun exists (or stained dress). If a smoking gun does exist then come clean ASAP. It's your only chance. Regardless of how much circumstantial evidence exists, they can never prove a thing without a smoking gun. Bush has relied on the "No Smoking Gun Denial" Tactic since he snorted his first line of coke. E.g. Bush was AWOL from the National Guard. Bush was arrested in 1972 for Cocaine possession. Bush traded with insider information while CEO of Harken Energy. Bush was a hardcore cocaine addict and drunk. Bush knew about 911 before it happened. Etc. etc. All of these thing have significant circumstantial evidence supporting the accusations. But none of them have a smoking gun. Thus, Bush still dwells in the White House.
