Technique: Don’t
give the audience the opportunity to question you message… even in their
heads. The more they question the less likely they are to be influenced.
If they are given a chance to refute your claims, they will actually be
self-persuading to the opposite side of the issue. How do you keep them
from questioning you? 1) Present your case quickly 2) Add distracters 3)
Stick in gleaming generalities “Everyone loves this country”. Creating
"First Amendment Zones" doesn't hurt either if you're not afraid to crap
on the Constitution as Bush has repeatedly done.
