Distract Audience Members From Thinking Deeply Forum for Tactics
(Note: This tactic is still in "outline" phase. More to come on this subject.)

Technique: Distract audience members from thinking deeply about what is said with disparaging humor. Limbaugh - "Ralph Nader is a human handkerchief", or "Trent Lott, Mississippi Helmet Hair" or presenting Bush as an Alfred E. Neuman lookalike, "Hillary Clinton Looks like a hood ornament" Hey no need to debate any issues regarding Hillary (e.g. Health care or parenting) because she is nothing more than a silly hood ornament, unworthy of our attention. Ridiculing others induces conformity out of fear of being ridiculed ourselves.
