CRIMES
COMMITTED:
Summary
AMMO
John Ashcroft
(Liar, Traitor, Criminal, Anti-Environment) 05/2002
FACT:
During the Ashcroft confirmation hearings, Ashcroft insisted that if he
were confirmed as Attorney General, he would faithfully enforce all federal
laws, even those with which he disagreed. Last week, however, Senator Charles
Schumer unveiled a study, which showed that under Ashcroft's watch, the
Justice Department has been purposely shirking its responsibility to enforce
our nation's environmental laws. Typically, the DOJ would show up for the
court cases, but they just wouldn't try very hard. Eventually, they either
(a) lose the case and then don't bother to appeal or (b) enter into a sweetheart
settlement that lets their corporate buddies get off scott-free.
COMMENT:
When is Ashcroft going to start enforcing all the laws and not just the
ones that suit his personal agenda? Never. He must be removed!
Elliott Abrams
(Criminal, Iran-Contra)
FACT:
The Bush administration appointed Elliott Abrams to a senior position at
the White House National Security Council. Mr. Abrams, in 1991 pleaded
guilty to two misdemeanor charges of withholding from the Senate Foreign
Relations Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence
his knowledge of Oliver North's Contra-assistance activities.
COMMENT:
Bush Sr. pardoned Abrams before trial. According to the White House, "Mr.
Abrams is eminently qualified for his new position. He is the best person
for the job."
Bush Administration
(Honor and Integrity, Illegal Contributions, Special Interests)
FACT:
Recently, news broke of a secret NT$3.5 billion slush fund which was used
to buy favors for Taiwan in Washington, DC, and elsewhere around the world.
Leaked documents indicate that two Bush Administration officials received
payments from the slush fund before they were tapped to join the administration.
One official, Carl Ford, is now the assistant secretary of defense for
intelligence and research, and the other, James Kelly is the assistant
secretary of state of East Asia. Online Journal reports that Carl Ford
was responsible for millions of dollars donated to the Bush campaign and
the RNC.
COMMENT:
This raises questions of possible indirect foreign campaign contributions,
something that the GOP tried to pin on Al Gore. We'll see how much face
time these illegal Chinese campaign contributions receive.
The Bush Administration
(Cover up, Criminal) April/2002
FACT: The
administration released 11,000 of 36,000 pages of documents relating to
Dick Cheney's super-secret energy policy meetings. But no smoking gun hear.
The administration heavily edited all smoking guns from the papers before
they were released, in some instances censoring entire documents except
for the subject line.
COMMENT:
If this isn't the "appearance of impropriety" that Bush was proclaiming
to be unacceptable at the beginning of his term, then what could he possibly
have meant.
George W. Bush
(Lies, Criminal, Perjury)
FACT:
If you've never heard of "Funeralgate" you should. This is a scandal involving
one of the largest funeral home businesses in the country. As Paul Begala
put it in an interview with Buzzflash.com, "[Bush] swore under oath that
he had never discussed an investigation of a funeral home company with
either the funeral home company or its lobbyist for his state agency that
regulates the industry. As the lawsuit went on, the funeral home company's
CEO, the lobbyist for the funeral home company, and the Bush appointee
to the state agency all testified under oath that Bush was lying -- that,
in fact, he talked to all of them about it." And, "…it's absolutely clear
that Bush committed perjury in a civil lawsuit, and that DeLay did as well."
Bush (Lies, Criminal,
Imperiling the lives of others)
FACT:
Bush was arrested for drunk driving in Maine. He kept this secret as long
as he could until he was outed several days before the 2000 election. He
claimed that he kept it secret to protect his children. You know, It’s
all about doing it for the children. Yes these are the same little cherubs
who have been arrested twice in a three month period for underage drinking
and then spotted once again in a Georgetown bar drinking illegally
again
COMMENT:
Let’s remember that this is no laughing matter. Thousands of people are
killed or otherwise have their lives ruined every year by such grossly
negligent and selfish imbeciles as Bush and Cheney. They shouldn’t be allowed
to laugh this off.
Bush (Lies, Criminal,
Cover-up)
FACT:
The scheduled release of 68,000 pages of Reagan era documents is delayed
by the Enron administration, which says it wants until June 21 to review
them, in violation of the Presidential Records Act of 1978. The papers
cover the period when Osama Bin Laden was recruited and trained by the
Reagan Administration, as well as the period when arms were being sold
secretly in the Middle East to finance the terrorist campaigns of the Contras.
COMMENT:
This criminal infraction of the Presidential Records Act was designed to
protect his father and members of his administration from the truths of
Iran Contra.
George W. Bush
(Cover up, Criminal, Aristocracy)
FACT:
Bush signed an executive order which countermands the 1978 Presidential
Records Act, and conveniently prevents Ronald Reagan's papers, which were
due to have been released last January, from being released at all.
COMMENT:
Now why would they go and do a thing like that for? Could there possibly
be something in those papers that would tarnish the image of the Godly
Ronald Reagan and his silver plated henchmen? Note, that half of Bush Jr.'s
administration used to be a part of the Reagan administration.
George W. Bush
(Secrecy, Criminal, Aristocracy)
FACT:
The scheduled release of 68,000 pages of Reagan era documents is delayed
by the incoming administration, which says it wants until March to review
them, in violation of the Presidential Records Act of 1978. The papers
cover the period when Osama Bin Laden was recruited and trained by the
Reagan Administration, as well as the period when arms were being sold
secretly in the Middle East to finance the terrorist campaigns of the Contras.
Bush (Bush-Bin
Laden Link, Corporate Interests, Criminal, Despicable behavior, 911)
FACT:
According to the BBC, Bush halted all ongoing FBI investigations of ties
between the Bin Laden family and international terrorism. Bush's father
and the Bin Ladens are in business together at the Carlyle Group, a private
investment house.
Bush (Lies, Fraud,
Criminal, Corporate Interests, Anti-Environment, Punish the Citizenry)
FACT:
Bush announces he is preparing to let California roll back its air pollution
requirements on power plants to help the state ease its electricity crisis,
despite the fact that California pollution officials said the environmental
restrictions had not interfered with power plants operations at maximum
capacity.
Dick Cheney (Lies,
Criminal, Imperiling the lives of others)
FACT:
Cheney was arrested for driving drunk.
COMMENT:
Let’s remember that this is no laughing matter. Thousands of people are
killed or otherwise have their lives ruined every year by such grossly
negligent and selfish imbeciles as Bush and Cheney. They shouldn’t be allowed
to laugh this off.
Clinton Administration
(Exonerated)
FACT:
The eight-year, nearly $80 million investigation has yielded no indictments
on the Lewinsky
matter. No indictments on Whitewater.
No indictments on the travel office. No indictments
on the FBI files. No indictments on the
Vince Foster suicide. No indictments all up and
down the line.
Clinton Administration
(Ethics)
FACT:
Do you know how many Reagan administration officials were convicted --
not just indicted, but convicted -- of crimes while, for conduct while
they were in office? Thirty. Do you know how many Clinton Administration
officials were? One. The Chief of Staff of the Secretary of Agriculture,
in a case that involved football tickets. One person. After eight
years and seven independent counsels, dozens of congressional committees,
scores of right-wing lawsuits, tens of thousands of investigative journalist
pieces -- one person. And that, the Chief
of Staff of the Secretary of Agriculture.
Tom Delay (Lies,
Criminal, Perjury)
FACT:
It is well documented that Delay lied under oath in a civil lawsuit in
Houston relating to a pest control business partnership.
Katherine Harris
(Lies, Criminal, Election 2000)
FACT:
According to the New York Times Harris set up a GOP "war room" in her office
during the recount process, and didn't appear at a single press conference
without being thoroughly briefed by GOP strategists. She pronounced throughout
the recount that Al Gore was never once in the lead, despite her very own
website telling a slightly different story. Currently, she withheld from
reporters public information held on publicly owned computers despite the
fact that she has absolutely nothing to hide.
Ted Olson (Lying
Under Oath, Criminal) 06/2002
FACT:
Replying to Senator Leahy, Olson said that he was not somehow involved
in the so-called Arkansas project, "I was not involved in the project in
its origin or its management. As I understand it what that was, was a contribution
by the foundation to conduct journalism and investigative journalism."
Amazingly, prior to his nomination to the position of solicitor general
by G. W. Bush, It was reasonably well known that Olson was involved in
the project. David Brock, a well known, right-wing sandal-monger famous
for the ruthless destruction of Anita Hill and an active participant in
the "Arkansas Project" assured the senate that indeed, "[Olson] was up
to his ears in the "Arkansas [Project]" and "There are many others who
would say the same thing if anyone had bothered to investigate."
COMMENT:
The Richard Mellon Scaife funded "Arkansas Project" was an organized and
well funded attempt to discredit and destroy the Clinton Administration.
And who else has lied under oath (That can be easily proven), you ask?
Why none other than G. W. Bush in Funeralgate, Tom Delay in a civil lawsuit
and Clarence Thomas in the Anita Hill Trials. Can we say IMPEACHMENT anybody?
Reagan Administration
(Ethics, Criminal, Convictions, Iran-Contra)
Republicans (Clinton
Investigation, Taxpayers' Money) 06/2002
FACT: The
eight-year, nearly $80 million investigation has yielded no indictments
on the Lewinsky
matter. No indictments on Whitewater.
No indictments on the travel office. No indictments
on the FBI files. No indictments on the
Vince Foster suicide. No indictments all up and
down the line.
Republicans (Honor
and Integrity, Criminal, Child molesters)
FACT:
Here is a quick list of those conservatives bringing Honor and Integrity
back to the good old USA. 1) Republican activist Randy Ankeney 2) Radio
Personality "Republican Marty" 3) ”Republican of the Year" Mark A. Grethen
and 4) Mayor Philip Giordano. Besides being staunch Republicans, can you
guess what these gentlemen have in common? Yup. They’re all child molesters.
Republicans (Despicable
Behavior, Taxpayers' Money, Criminal)
FACT:
When the Bush tax cut was first installed, the IRS sent a letter praising
George W. Bush to all taxpayers who received refunds. The cost of the mailing:
$30 million. Since the mainling was essentially a campaign letter for Bush,
Democrats tried to pass an amendment to remove the cost of the mailing
from the IRS budget, and were joined by 11 Republicans to reach a majority
of 218. But as the official House floor clock reached 00:00, signifying
the end of the vote, Doug Bereuter (R-Neb), the congressman presiding over
the vote, refused to bring down the gavel. Upon receiving instructions
from the Republican leadership, Bereuter waited until Tom DeLay had completed
several rounds of the floor, on a mission to persuade key Republicans to
change their votes. As onlooking Democrats cried "Shame!" six Republicans
changed their votes before Bereuter gaveled the session closed. So by stopping
the clock and extending the vote, Republicans have now authorized the IRS
to spend $30 million sending what is essentially a Bush campaign letter
to taxpayers, which is a crime though no one will get even a slap on the
wrist.
Karl Rove (Conflict
of Interest, Lies, Criminal, Corporate Interest)
FACT:
Bush's top adviser, Karl Rove owned more than $250,000 of stock in Intel
Corporation while he met with the company's chief executive and two lobbyists
as they pushed for federal approval of a corporate merger. The administration
approved the deal less than two months later, bringing Rove a fat profit.
George Argyros
(Aristocracy, Punish the impoverished/Citizenry, Criminal, Honor an Integrity)
FACT:
George Argyros, a Newport Beach billionaire who is the Bush2 administration's
pick for ambassador to Spain owns nearly 5,000 apartments in Orange County,
CA, which he rents to poor and middle-class tenants. A recent OC Weekly
investigation discovered that he "rewarded employees with bonuses for illegally
withholding security deposits, overcharging tenants for apartment repairs
and billing tenants for imaginary expenses," not to mention "reprimanded
employees when they did not defraud tenants," and let's not forget how
he "angrily complained to top managers on at least two occasions that they
were not sufficiently padding tenant charges."
COMMENT:
the $50 million that Argyros raised for Bush's presidential campaign heavily
overshadowed Argyros's lack of qualifications for an ambassadorial role.
Chris Carman (Election
2000, Criminal, Honor and Integrity)
FACT:
Carman, who resigned as a member of Manatee County's Republican Executive
Committee in January, faces felony charges for voter fraud after casting
two votes for George W. Bush in last year's election. After intercepting
an absentee ballot mailed to his roommate Blair Hanner, Carman cast a vote
for Bush, forged Hanner's signature, and mailed it in. When Hanner showed
up to vote at the polls, Carman was exposed. In his defense he said, "I
made a boo-boo."
