Bush Gave Blair the Date of the Iraq Invasion 5 MONTHS IN ADVANCE
10/27/04
From the UK Independent:
Secret plans for the war in Iraq were passed to British Army chiefs by US defense planners five months before the invasion was launched, a court martial heard yesterday.
The revelation strengthened suspicions that Tony Blair gave his agreement to President George Bush to go to war while the diplomatic efforts to force Saddam Hussein to comply with UN resolutions were continuing.
Alan Simpson, the leader of Labour Against the War, said the documents were "dynamite", if genuine, and showed that Clare Short was right to assert in her book, serialized in The Independent, that Mr. Blair had "knowingly misled" Parliament.
[...]
Lt Col Warren said US planners had passed on dates for which the invasion was planned. The hearing was told Army chiefs wanted the training for the Army to start at the beginning of December 2002. However, due to "sensitivities" the training was delayed.
The court heard the training for the TA began two months late and for the regular Army one month late. Lt Col Warren was asked what the sensitivities were. He replied: "Because in December there was a world interest. If the UK had mobilised while all this was going on that would have shown an intent before the political process had been allowed to run its course."
Of course that also means that Bush was lying to the American people over and over and over again. Nothing we didn't know, but it is certainly something I would like the 'undecideds' to ponder.
This totally vindicates O’Neill and the scads of others who have reported this administration's plan to invade Iraq from day one.
If, God forbid, Bush should steal his way back into the White House for another term, we should work endlessly to impeach this bastard.

From everything I hear and read, John Kerry is going to win -- in a landslide. Republican newspapers all over the United States are endorsing Kerry, which is unheard of. After winning this election, however, we will be faced with something like the circumstance that faced Bush after the fall of Baghdad: how we should proceed after victory. Bush and his top people have committed crimes against the Constitution and the People of the United States, including, but not limited to, violations of the 4th, 5th and 6th Amendments, maintaining secret slush funds in the Pentagon, lying to Congress under oath, the list could get lengthy. These people must be investigated and prosecuted next year. This is important. If criminals at the top of this administration, including Bush, are allowed to simply walk away from the crimes they've committed, then we will soon be back to where we are right now, except they will be meaner and even more convinced of their immunity from accountability. We must not allow that to happen.
Then there is the fact that the Bushies have been working hard, under the radar, to steal another election. Every day we hear of more judges ruling to throw voter registrations for Democrats out for the silliest reasons I have ever heard. 10,000 more in Florida today, and counting. God, I hate these people!
It all ties together. Because they are smart enough to know that if they lose their asses are going to be fried. So they can't afford to lose.
That scares me, because there is a long time between election day and the hand over. And I wouldn't put it past them to try something to hang onto power.
Marshall Law or something.
Sure Bush could pardon all of them, but who would pardon Bush?
I fear the election may only be the begining.
What we have to keep in mind is we are dealing with a self-induced,obsessive, hateful mental illness. It's symptoms are ultra-nationalism and the "alien within"
mentality that manifests itself with a few venomous
and often violent
outbursts which
eventually overwhelm
every minute of every day. In the minds of these trully sick individuals, they
are the only AMERICANS and all
others are the
riff-raff they must
not only tolerate
but ELIMINATE. Please be careful, my friends, cuz these "patriots"
will do anything to win, and even worse if they lose. Peace and Blessings from Hawaii.
The Marshall Law comment made me think of the as of yet unconfirmed video received by ABC News in Pakistan - where the subject, speaking perfect english, warned of a new wave of terrorist violence in the US.
I agree, these guys have the power and will do anything to keep it. I still believe 9-11 was more of a "Let it happen on purpose" in accordance with the PNAC discussion of a "Pearl Harbor event" in order to garner support for a mid-east invasion. I trust this bunch not at all.
