Democracy implies “The will of the People”. But this concept of Democracy disappeared when the Democracy in the United States morphed into “The Will of Big Business!”

A prostitute has been looked down upon by most civilizations for the simple reason that her sexual favors can be purchased for a price complete with phony “Ahhhh” and Ohhhh”.

To obtain political office in 2004, the Members of Congress in the United States need money and plenty of it to run their campaigns. And that is where TV makes it billions in the four-year elections and the off year votes for these public servants. And here is where the “Lobbyists” find their unique niche in the political landscape. They are the same ones who stay in close touch with their big business backers so they will enunciate the price requirements for the “money flow” to keep rolling in.

Certain votes are vital for the pharmaceutical companies, and that is precisely why those companies have more lobbyists chasing around Washington to insure their sponsors pay enough to satisfy the Members of Congress to get their votes to generate laws that keep them happy. For example, it was essential to ban importing drugs from Canada or anywhere else. And it was vital for Bush to be their savior by getting the pharmaceutical bill passed to Medicare for billions.

The important public relations revelation had to present much smaller layouts to hide the true cost of this subsidy program for the wealthy pharmaceutical companies. All of this must be done as a humanitarian program, even though with quick calculations, it can be easily determined that the ones who benefit the most are the pharmaceutical companies.

Huge spending bills were strategically timed to make sure the general public would be preoccupied with holiday buying on the day after Christmas. What a perfect time to slip through the pork barrel items.

For example, a 64-page small business bill made its way into the budget package the night before it reached the House and Senate floors. Prostitutes who are street walkers understanding timing, go on the Pickup Alley, when they are sure the “johns” will be there for them.

The political prostitutes act the same way. They slip through legislation they know very well cannot be read by even the world’s fastest speed-reader so they can pass legislation on the sly. Only these political prostitutes are so much higher paid than the Nevada hookers that they ought to sue Congress for discrimination, as they both have something in common, only the Congressional prostitution is so much more damaging overall to the general public.

Take for example $515,000 for Guam snake control. How about $1 million for the Norwegian American Foundation, or $350,000 for the Cleveland Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. With the kind of money rock stars pull down, and the cost to enter the hallowed halls of the Rock stars, can’t they carry on without a taxpayer subsidy?

But the biggest fraud the Republicans have going for them is to dare to call themselves Conservatives while they carry on about Liberal spending. With the Iraq War costing billions, tearing down the country and rebuilding it, and the oil pipelines the Bush Administration coveted being destroyed continuously, the dreams of oil conquest aren’t coming true. But a religious war has killed 100,000 Iraqis, according to one estimate of on site observers, and U.S. deaths military personnel continue climbing. U.S. military casualties must go on without arms or legs in many cases while the Administration takes bows.

Those who voted for this nightmare to continue cannot escape being held accountable. When America’s day of reckoning fully occurs and costs need to be borne, and their assets become shriveled from a severely weakened economy as the nation staggers under the weight of oppression caused by tragic acts, they will squeal the loudest. But like the old Toyota ad said, “You asked for it and you got it!”
