Time Magazine (December 27, 2004/ January 3, 2005), stated, “Compare the Bushes with the Kennedys, and it’s the Republican clan that casts the longer shadow. A Kennedy was President for a thousand days or so, but if George W. Bush completes his second term, someone named Bush will have been President for 4,383 days.”
All right, let’s compare John Kennedy’s brief Presidency to that of George W. Bush. During John Kennedy’s Presidency we had the Alliance for Progress, the Trade Expansion Act, and the Peace Corps. We had the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty prohibiting underground nuclear tests. Who could forget Kennedy’s memorable speech about the Berlin Wall delivered at what is now John F. Kennedy Square in front of what was then the West Berlin City Hall with that divided city’s popular mayor, Willie Brandt, leading a tumultuous chorus of cheers, the message of which reverberated throughout the world.
Kennedy exhorted in his memorable inaugural address, “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country!” Wherever John Kennedy and his elegant wife Jacqueline went millions throughout the world enthusiastically welcomed them.
By contrast, let’s examine what George W. Bush has done since he took office. The Nuclear Test Ban and Kyoto treaties were disowned and insults were hurled at nations that wouldn’t go along with Bush’s rush to war in Iraq, while key Administration figures supported the fateful move based on lies. Now with an estimated 100,000 Iraqis dead, Iraq cities destroyed with many their citizens homeless, over 13,000 wounded U.S. service personnel, and 1,300 service personnel dead in a war that has bitterly divided this nation and turned the world against us, Time selects the unelected resident who presided over this nightmare. As for his economic record, Bush plunged us into the worst debt in U.S. history, which stands at around 7.4 trillion currently and is consistently climbing. What are the Time editors thinking of? Back in 1938 Adolf Hitler was selected as the magazine’s Man of the Year.
Time editors, you really should have saved George W. Bush’s face for the cover for a special April Fool’s Day issue.

Let's not forget the draft-dodger, AWOL, coward, deserter who the Rove Lie and Smear campaign turned into a "Hero" while turning a genuine Hero, Kerry into a slimed "coward". This is the greatest disgrace any modern country has produced. Both Bush and his fellow yellowbellied chicken hawk, Cheney should be exposed for what they are. Coat holders while working kids fill body bags. When do the twins go for thie "holy war"?
How about "family values". Bush, DUI (that we know of despite the massive cover up attempt, and Chen, 2 DUI's. How manby family members have been killed by the members of this "nothing to brag club"?
Oh great, Steve! Still stuck in Ohio! What hypocrisy! Yeah, all those rigged voting machines, people kept in the rain for hours to vote. Secretary of State Blackwell dodging a subpoena. Yeah, we're supposed to forget all about that. If the situation had been reversed the mainstream media would have been all over this one like a blanket. Also, Limbaugh, O'Reilly and Hannity would have been shrieking about nothing else. The issue is not Bush bashing, Steve. The issue is the Cheney-Bush-Rove Junta driving America to its lowest depths. When it comes to bashing, now how about Limbaugh, Hannity and O'Reilly? I'll bet you find no problem with them. Is Rush strictly on the positive side with his comments? How about the Swift Boaters? I'll bet they're just great Americans and positive in their sentiments, right? It's all in who is being attacked.

Oh the sky has fallen with this election. God... I mean the ACLU help us all :) If it wasn't for like one cable news channel way more balanced than anything on the remainder of cable yet still trouncing ALL their lefty stations, John Kerry would have won, right? Lets not count the liberal smear "mainstream" television which still commands much greater veiwership, the overwhelming majority of newspapers, weekly publications etc... Yes we also have big Rush Limbaugh but you've had NPR (that is still surviving?), Hollywood, MoveOn.com, and even the UN which tried to influence our voters.
And Bob, what about a state with even a slightly less a final margin and the same electoral votes, Pennsylvania? Or New Hampshire? Where's the big recount effort to root out 'error and fraud'? You guys try to pull a Gore whenever wherever you think you can steal it :) You are to be congratulated though in Washington State; found those extra 'uncounted' votes hehe.
Lets face it, just like you guys said in 2000 when slightly more voted for Gore, this election has 3.5 million, yes million more who voted for Bush which proves the American public prefer him over Kerry. You lost. Get over it. Take the necessary antidepressants and get on with life.
