Outsourcing War

The US military is facing an unprecedented crisis in recruiting numbers and new enlistments. Since the invasion of Iraq in March 2003, the latest Pentagon statistics show that over 5,000 soldiers have now been charged with desertion from bases in the U.S. and overseas. If there is no draft, how can the US increase its number of troops in Iraq? Have no fear--Bush definitely has a plan.

For far too long Americans have been drunk with the delusions of democracy. Maybe it takes someone like Bush for us to realize that we've still got a lot to overcome. Are You Safer Now Than You Were Four Years Ago?

The vision of our country hanging in the balance on the backs of a few indecisive voters in a handful of states is enough to alert the majority of Americans that our 17th century Electoral College needs to be abolished. The Country or The Man

I fail to comprehend the rationale that makes Bush supporters and undecideds leaning toward Bush conclude that we are safer and this is a course worthy of pursuing. So much yakety-yak has been given to the absurd notion that you "don't change horses in the midst of a war." It's not about changing horses; it's about changing direction. Anyone who can look at what's going on all around us and agree that this is what America is all about, is both misinformed and delusional.

Many of us have been literally counting the days to November 2, 2004 and we must not let the onslaught of problems occurring at the polls across the country break our stride. None of this should be surprising. They did it last year and most of us knew they were going to do it again this year. This year's election theft tactic isn't limited to illegally purging Black voters from the voter rolls. This time the Republicans are challenging the federally guaranteed use of provisional ballots. Categories :: Bush Administration :: Election 2004 :: Kerry, John :: Progressive Strategy

Despite what the pundits, the corporate media and the Bush Administration continue to proclaim, it's not the economy, it's not same sex marriage, and it's not unemployment. The biggest concern on most people's mind is the war. The anti-war protest at the Republican National Convention in New York, (the largest in US history), and the recent presidential debates prove that war and terrorism is of primary concern to most American voters.

Muslim Until Proven Innocent

Many Muslims today realize that it is their American citizenship, not their Islamic identity that is tenuous. We consciously live in an era where fiction substitutes for fact, lies become misstatements, justice is now revenge and war is quickly becoming the norm. The unholy alliance between the Republicans and the Right Wing has just intensified as we enter the homestretch of the presidential election. The fact that they are resorting to these tactics is evidence that they are running scared. Gone is the Bush strut and swagger. Absent are the Haiku-laced press conferences of Donald Rumsfeld, who just yesterday had to admit that he has "seen no evidence of a Saddam Hussein-Al Qaeda connection". And Dick Cheney hasn't attempted to unite the country through fear in almost two weeks. Uh-oh. It seems that finally after four years, the paranoia of the thief has kicked in.
